In September 2016, we bought our Bruce Roberts New York 46. She’s an Australian designed and built 46ft, steel hull sail boat – and boy, is she a beauty. After 10 years in the making, we took on the task of finishing her to our own specs, and are well on the way to getting her in the water this year (2018). Since taking ownership we have undertaken many ‘boat jobs’ including the pouring of the keel – in the cooler months of 2017, we melted and poured 4 tonne of lead!
We presently have a Perkins Diesel Engine and are undecided on whether to keep or convert to a fully electric set up.
